South East England Development Agency (SEEDA)
The MARK magazine for 16 to 19-year-olds as part of the national 'Make Your Mark challenge'.
The client:
Responsible for the sustainable economic development and regeneration of the South East of England.
The issues:
‘The Mark’ magazine forms a major part of the marketing and communications material used to promote SEEDA’s involvement in the ‘Make Your Mark – start talking ideas’ campaign for young people. SEEDA wanted CProject to improve its existing magazine and make it more inspiring in both design and content for its young readers.
The solution:
CProject provided full sourcing, writing and editing of articles, project management, design, print and distribution services for the magazine. It employed young people to photograph and write some of the features and organised focus groups of 16-19 year olds to ensure the readership was involved and kept the magazine on track.
Business advantage:
‘The Mark’ magazine changed beyond all recognition into an edgy, colourful publication with which the readership could identify, because it ‘spoke their language’, had people like them in it and talked about subjects they were close to. Focus group feedback helped substantially and overall feedback is extremely positive.
